Naruto Shippūden 2: Bonds (劇場版 NARUTO−ナルト− 疾風伝 絆, Gekijōban Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna?)is the fifth overall Naruto film and second Naruto: Shippūden film, based on the popular anime and manga series, which was released on August 2, 2008. The DVD was released on April 22, 2009. The movie was announced in Weekly Shōnen Jump along with the DVD release date for the first movie. Additionally, the teaser trailer for the second movie was aired with Naruto: Shippūden episode(s) 40-41 and again with episode 66-67. In episodes 70-73 opening sequence was replaced with footage from the movie. The theme song for the movie is “No Rain No Rainbow” by Home Made Kazoku. The film has gone on to be highest grossing of all Naruto movies bringing in $95,341,986 dollars in Japan. The film was advertised under the tagline of “Another Meeting of Fate” (宿命の再会, Shukumei no Saikai?)
